Dierbergs Markets Partners with SSM Health Cardinal Glennon to Help Provide Critical Treatments for Sick Children

For Immediate Release: July 9, 2020

This week, Dierbergs is launching a Round-Up at the Register program in all 25 locations, partnering with customers to support SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital’s Homers For Health campaign. The donations raised through this campaign will go directly to provide critical treatments to Cardinal Glennon patients, new child-friendly services, advanced technologies, and capital improvements that benefit sick and injured kids in countless ways.

“The current health crisis and economic crisis has made our patients’ ability to fund treatments more challenging than ever,” said Scott Adamec, Director of Corporate Relations at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation. The fundraising efforts of the Homers for Health program has suffered due to the ongoing pandemic and every donation, no matter how small, makes a huge impact on Glennon Kids.

Typically, this program is tied in closely with the Cardinals’ baseball season. Individuals can pledge donations based on the amount of home runs that the Cardinals hit each season. Since there has not been an active baseball season thus far, Cardinal Glennon has pivoted the theme in 2020 to ‘Pledge for Patients’ in an effort to ensure that those in need will still be able to receive much needed treatments that are provided by the foundation.

“Dierbergs has supported Glennon’s Homers for Health campaign since its inception in 2012. It is more important now than ever for us to give back to friends and neighbors in our communities,” said Laura Dierberg Padousis, VP and Secretary of Dierbergs Markets. “We are very fortunate to have kind and generous customers to help us raise funds for this extremely worthy program.”

Customers can round up or donate any dollar amount at any of the 25 Dierbergs locations to help make an impact on the lives of Cardinal Glennon kids through August 17th, 2020.
