Dierbergs modifies store hours and reserves 8-9 a.m. for at-risk customers

For Immediate Release: March 17, 2020

Dierbergs will be modifying store hours from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. effective 3/17/20. This temporary change will allow associates additional time to clean the stores, restock shelves and recharge during these high-demand times.

Additionally, customers are asked to reserve 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. each day for those shoppers who are at a higher risk of severe illness by COVID-19, which includes older adults (60+) and individuals who have compromised immune systems. “If you are healthy and not at-risk, we are asking you to not shop during these hours,” said Greg Dierberg, President and CEO. “It is a small request, but may have a positive impact on this group that is most vulnerable.”

For customers that prefer to avoid public places at this current time; Dierbergs also partners with Shipt, an online grocery delivery service. Dierberg added “They’re an excellent partner of ours and offer your preference of curbside pickup outside our stores or delivery to your home.”
