Product Recall: Tippin's

St. Louis, June 20, 2016 - In response to a voluntary product recall by Tippin's Gourmet Pies, LLC, Dierbergs Markets has removed the following products from its shelves due to an ingredient supplier, Kellogg Company, recalling graham cracker crumbs because they may contain undeclared peanut residue. The Kellogg recall came about following Grain Craft recalling certain lots of flour it provides as an ingredient to several companies throughout the US for the same reason.

Tippin’s Key Lime Pie, 8 inch
UPC: 6-80816-05005-7
Lot#: 04-07-16, 04-14-16, 04-21-16, 04-25-16, 04-26-16, 04-27-16, 05-03-16, 05-04-16, 05-05-16, 05-11-16 and 05-17-16

While those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume products containing peanut allergens, the amount of peanut exposure from use of the flours and affected products is considered to be low and not expected to cause adverse health effects in the vast majority of peanut allergic consumers. To date, the company has received no reports of related illness to date and is taking this action out of an abundance of caution.

More information on the recall can be found at the FDA's website.

Customers may return the affected product to any Dierbergs for a full refund.
