Product Recall: Honey Smacks

St. Louis, June 15, 2018 - In response to a voluntary recall by the Kellogg Company, Dierbergs Markets has removed the following product from its shelves due to possible Salmonella contamination:

Honey Smacks Cereal, 15.3 oz.
UPC: 38000-39103
Lot Code: All

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. Kellogg launched an investigation with the third-party manufacturer who produces Honey Smacks immediately after being contacted by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regarding reported illnesses.
