Lactose Intolerant? Maybe Not.

Nowadays, you can come in to your local Dierbergs and we have a multitude of different milk substitutes in our dairy aisles. What if we told you we’re bringing a MILK product to the market that is real cow’s milk, and easier to digest?

25% of the U.S. population claims they are lactose intolerant. Studies show only 4-5% are legitimately lactose intolerant. The remainder may actually be experiencing stomach trouble related to another factor: an intolerance to the A1 protein.

What is an A1 protein?
Originally, all cows were A2/A2 protein. Over time, cows evolved to produce a mix of A1 & A2 proteins. This evolution started arising in cows due to technological processes and genetic engineering. a2 Milk® comes from cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein and no A1. Published research suggests that a2 Milk® may help some people avoid digestive discomfort. So instead of being lactose intolerant, you could just be intolerant to the A1 protein!

It’s Science.
The a2 Milk® Difference: All cows were originally A2/A2. Over time, cows evolved to produce A1 & A2 proteins, so ordinary milk has a mix of A1 & A2 proteins. However, the cows that produce a2 Milk® only produce A2 proteins.

We are now EXCLUSIVELY carrying a2 Milk® in the St. Louis market! For more information, check out the story of a2 Milk®.
