Grilled Upside Down Cake


1 cup Dierbergs brown sugar
8 tablespoons Dierbergs butter
1 container (24 ounces) peeled and cored pineapple,
      cut into 8 slices
8 maraschino cherries, drained
1 Dierbergs Bakery Pound Cake, cut into 8 slices


Place 2 tablespoons brown sugar on double sheet of nonstick foil; top with 1 tablespoon butter, pineapple ring, cherry, and cake slice. Bring sides of foil to center in series of locked folds, allowing space for steam. Fold up ends to seal completely. Repeat procedure with remaining ingredients. Place packets seam-side down on grid over medium-high heat; cover and grill 5 minutes per side. Let stand 5 minutes; carefully open packet. 


Pitted peach, nectarine, or plum halves can be substituted for the pineapple rings.
