  1. What inspired you to pursue baking professionally?
    My grandmother did. I would help her with her baking. I love to make all kinds of cakes and pastries, and every day is an inspiration.

  2. What are your favorite desserts?
    White chocolate mousse and fruit tarts.

  3. What’s your proudest accomplishment in Dierbergs European Bakery?
    I made 100 mini-pastries for a customer, and Bob Dierberg was at the event. He called and said he was so proud of me.

  4. What trends do you see emerging in the pastry arts?
    More people are buying and asking for more creative items.

  5. What are your top three tips for dessert success?
    Know what the customer wants, use the best products, and exceed each customer’s expectations.

  6. Anything else you’d like to add, background info, fun fact?
    I spend a lot of time with my 4 grandkids. I love my job; it makes me happy to see the customer’s face when they see their item.
