Stuffed Pizza Burgers


1 large Dierbergs egg, lightly beaten
¼ cup Italian-seasoned panko bread crumbs
¼ cup diced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Dierbergs milk
1 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 pound lean ground beef
¼ cup chopped fresh basil
¼ cup Dierbergs grated parmesan cheese
¼ cup pizza sauce
4 slices provolone cheese
4 Dierbergs Bakery sandwich buns, toasted

In medium bowl, stir together egg, panko, onion, garlic, milk, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire. Crumble beef into egg mixture; mix gently until combined. Divide beef mixture into 8 portions and shape into thin patties. In small bowl, combine basil and parmesan. Divide basil mixture among 4 of the patties. Cover with remaining patties; press edges with tines of fork to seal. Place on oiled grid over medium-high heat; cover and grill until internal temperature is 155°F., about 7 to 8 minutes per side. Top each patty with sauce and provolone during last minute of cooking time. Serve on toasted buns topped with Grilled Peppers and Onions.
