A Statement from Dierbergs about COVID-19 cases

Dierbergs continues to take proactive and significant measures to make both the shopping & work environments at each store as safe as possible. While we feel like we are doing our very best to keep all stores sanitized during this crisis, every individual entering any public business at this time needs to take proactive measures to protect themselves. With that said, Dierbergs, nor any other essential business, will be immune to the spread of COVID-19.

It’s imperative we all work together to stop the spread of this virus.

When informed of a positive COVID-19 case, we promptly engage with our store teams using all available guidance from the St. Louis County Health Department and the CDC. As time goes on, it will be increasingly challenging to provide updates regarding each occurrence as positive tests become more widespread. Additionally, the CDC reports the virus can also be spread by asymptomatic individuals, who have the virus but are not experiencing any symptoms, making it even more challenging to detect.

As a reminder, customers should always exercise an abundance of caution when in public settings - washing their hands before and after leaving the store, covering their face and nose in public places with CDC-recommended face coverings and avoiding touching their faces while in store. We also ask that customers do not enter the store if they are exhibiting symptoms of a fever above 100.4, shortness of breath, or cough.

As the COVID-19 situation quickly evolves, we will continue to prioritize best practices and procedures. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of both our Associates and our Customers. Thank you for your understanding.
