ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Novembeer 22, 2023 – From holiday essentials to family favorites, Dierbergs not only has what customers need this holiday season, they are partnering with customers again this year to provide meals to those at risk of hunger through Operation Food Search in the Greater St. Louis area and neighboring counties and Hope House in Osage Beach.
Now through January 1, 2024, customers who shop in-store at Dierbergs can purchase a virtual food donation bag at checkout, which will provide a nutritious meal for a family.
- $5 donation will provide a nutritious meal for two people.
- $10 donation will provide a nutritious meal for four people.
"More than 44 million Americans, including over 200,000 in the St. Louis area, are impacted by food insecurity. Programs like Hunger Never Takes a Holiday are extremely important this time of year." said Laura Dierberg Padousis, Executive Vice President at Dierbergs. "The holidays are a time to come together and help each other. Food insecurity is a big problem, but together we can solve it.” Last year Dierbergs Markets donated more than $2.1 million in food to Operation Food Search, helping to provide nutritious food for our neighbors in need.
Customers can also make an open-ended donation when they checkout in-store, they can round up their sale or make a designated dollar donation.
Additionally, Dierbergs Rewards Members can donate their Rewards points through the Dierbergs App or by logging into their Rewards account at Dierbergs.com/Rewards. Every 1,500 Reward points donated equals a $1 donation to Operation Food Search..
