FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ST. LOUIS, MO – September 3, 2024 – Dierbergs Markets is proud to announce a dynamic partnership with 4 Hands Brewery and Pedal the Cause to support cancer research. From September 3 through September 30, 2024, for every case of 4 Hands City Wide beer sold, 4 Hands Brewery will donate $1 to Pedal the Cause, a local nonprofit organization that provides critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital. In addition, Dierbergs Rewards Members can donate their Rewards points in App or online to Pedal the Cause.
“As we prepare for our 15th year of riding and raising critical funds to end cancer, we can feel the momentum and excitement growing here in the St. Louis metropolitan area,” said David Drier, executive director of Pedal the Cause. “This exciting partnership with Dierbergs Markets and 4 Hands Brewing Co. is a convergence of key voices in our community that are boldly taking action in the fight against cancer. With every dollar raised through this alliance, we are moving closer to a world without cancer.”
To celebrate this partnership, Dierbergs stores will feature Pedal the Cause and 4 Hands Brewery displays, where customers can scan a QR code to enter for a chance to win prizes, including a new Big Shark bicycle. These in-store displays aim to raise awareness and encourage participation in this important initiative.
"We’re honored to continue our partnership with Pedal the Cause and deepen our ties in making them a City Wide Mission partner. In 2016, we began brewing City Wide with the intention of making this beer our voice and our agent for change and growth in St. Louis. Over the years, it’s been incredible to witness the positive impact we’ve made in partnership with the community," said Kevin Lemp, Owner 4 Hands Brewing Co.
Since 2010, Pedal the Cause has raised more than $46 million, 100% of which has funded adult and pediatric cancer research. This year's two-day event will take place at Family Arena in St. Charles with a celebration on Saturday, September 21 and the annual bike ride on Sunday, September 22. The 15th Annual ride will feature 8 course options (6 road and 2 gravel), a signature Spin Zone, an Inspired virtual participation option and a Kids Challenge. Dierbergs will sponsor the dining tent at the event.
“We are thrilled to partner with 4 Hands Brewery and Pedal the Cause in supporting such a vital cause,” said Laura Dierberg Padousis, Executive Vice President at Dierbergs. “Together, with the help of our community, we can make a significant impact on the fight against cancer.”
