St. Louis, October 29, 2021 - In response to a voluntary product recall by Coppertone, Dierbergs Markets has removed the following lots of aerosol sunscreen spray from its shelves due to the possible presence of benzene, which is classified as a carcinogen:

Though Coppertone does not add benzene to any of its products, it was detected in certain lots. Daily exposure to benzene in these Coppertone aerosol sunscreen spray products at the levels detected in the testing would not be expected to cause adverse health consequences. To date, Coppertone has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.

Customers may return the affected product to any Dierbergs for a full refund.
