St. Louis, February 18, 2022 (Updated February 24, 2022) - In response to a voluntary product recall by Abbott, Dierbergs Markets removed several lots of Similac Powdered Infant Formula from its shelves on February 18 and February 23. This recall was issued following consumer complaints related to Cronobacter sakazakii or Salmonella Newport in infants who had consumed powder formula manufactured in at a specific facility.

Consumers can find more information, including whether any formula they have purchased is involved, on Abbott's website.

Customers may return the affected product to any Dierbergs for a full refund.
